Vineyard

The Quinta de Tourais, located in the Douro region classified as World Heritage, is in the Coelho family for three generations. Until 1999, the grapes produced in the farm were sold entirely to an exporter company for the production of Port Wine.

In 1999, under the oenological responsibility of Fernando Coelho, the first wines were produced in the farm.

Currently, the property where our wines are born is 3,8 ha, where we have planted about 17,000 vines.

We invest 100% in the traditional Douro varieties which, by its richness and variety, produce unique wines with the personality of the land where they grow. Among white and red grapes the farm possesses about 30 different varieties, most of them from a vine more than 60 years old.

The passion that we set in the entire process, from monitoring the land and the plant to the final product, is felt in the uniqueness of the wines and seen in the importance that we dedicate to the final image. We always try to combine the most valuable learning that the traditional production taught us, with the most innovative techniques and technologies of the moment.
